I am deeply committed to combating climate change and making this planet a healthier place to live on. Passionate about the environment, science, and GIS, I aspire to work in the green sector after graduation. As a vegan, I’m dedicated to ending factory farming and creating a more inclusive, sustainable world through my work with ethical vegan organizations. I hope to be a part of the bigger picture in helping combat climate change!
Climate Activism: As an active member of Fridays for Future, an organization founded by renowned environmental activist Greta Thunberg, I’ve dedicated myself to the fight against climate change. I’ve played a vital role in organizing protests, creating newsletters for our supporters, and participating in climate demonstrations for several years, demanding urgent climate action. |
Vegan Advocacy: This past summer, I had the privilege of working with PETA, a prominent animal rights organization. In this role, I contributed to raising awareness about the environmental impact of veganism and promoted its benefits for the planet. My responsibilities included managing and posting on PETA’s social media platforms to inspire positive change. |
Supporting Local Vegan Businesses: I’ve also been actively involved in the promotion of veganism at the local level. I worked with CindySnacks, a local vegan grocery store in Long Island, NY, and Orchard Grocer, an all-vegan deli and grocer in New York City. Through these experiences, I’ve contributed to the growth of vegan businesses and the broader movement towards a plant-based lifestyle. |
